Let me tell you about Louie
I love writing copy . .
. . this shouldn’t be a surprise I guess.
As a Creative Copywriter, running my own business it would seem a little weird if I didn’t enjoy what I do for a living!
But what about you? Do you do what you love?
Do you find time in your week to spend doing what really brings you joy? Whether that’s friends, family or something just for you?
When it comes to your business, are you able to use the skills and talents that you have a passion for? The reason you started out on your venture in the first place?
Or, are you overwhelmed with the myriad of tasks, the million moving parts, each needing to be expertly choreographed into place, if your business is to survive, never mind thrive.
Somewhere in between the website maintenance, the social media engagement, the networking events, the ongoing learning and improving, the consistent marketing and the chasing up of invoices, do you still get the time to do what you really love?
It’s a lot right?
Almost too much.
What if delegating some of these tasks that you find a drag, could free you up to concentrate on what makes you shine again?
When Louie met Sooz
Let me tell you a little about Louie, she and her two best friends run a fabulous bridal wear company, TH&TH, and they are doing fantastically well.
They have a great client base and a growing community, but they wanted to bring more connection to their customers. To be seen more than just the clothing side of weddings, they want for people to come to them for wedding advice of all kinds, from countdown prep to gift ideas. Really cement their brand as a leading Wedding company in the UK.
But remember, this group of inspiring women started their business because they love to design bridal wear. Not because they wanted to wax lyrical about what the Groom might appreciate as a thoughtful gift on his special day.
So Louie called me up and asked if I could use my copywriting superpowers to help elevate their brand website.
Making the magic happen
And this, ladies and gellybobs, is where my talents lie. I spent time with Louie and got to know the TH&TH brand, their values and their ideal customer. We planned a weekly blog to be published on the site which would cover subjects like working from home in harmony, choosing the right engagement ring, and creating your perfect wedding day.
We provided multiple touchpoints for prospective customers to connect with the brand and in doing so, built them a reputation for being knowledgeable right across the subject of weddings and all they involve.
Most importantly for Louie, she was able to hand over this side of brand building to me. And she could concentrate on her passion for bridal wear design and development. Giving her more time to do what she truly loved.
What about you?
Is there something you know you should be doing but you keep putting it off because it sounds as dull as dishwater to you?
Maybe you are actually doing it all, but it’s taking you away from the other stuff you love.
